MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
The labor scenario of the XXI century requires competency and skills that adjust to the changes posed by the globalization and the world economy. Escuela Hotelera de San Juan has the mission to prepare competent professionals in the areas of study connected to the hotel service, one of the largest-growing and more competitive industries of the moment.
We are the alternative for the creative, daring, and enthusiastic student who inclines for an educational process focused on the integration of theoretical and practical concepts through technology and environment, in accordance with the realities of the industry.
We fulfill our commitment by valuing the student as the center of the teaching/learning process. We offer well-equipped building facilities, first class products, competent teaching and administrative personnel, and diverse and innovative programs relevant to the hospitality services. The Specialist in Culinary Arts, Breads and International Pastries and the short International Cuisine and Intensive Bartender courses, and multiple seminars, are offered in flexible schedules to satisfy the needs of every prospect student.
We care to offer free transportation to the Urban Train, complement the education with very important field experience, serve multiple public and private entities, and encourage our students to participate in culinary excursions to Europe, the United States and South America, to broaden our students’ cultural, gastronomical, and hotel service horizon.
We proudly share that in more than ten years from establishment of the Escuela Hotelera de San Juan, we have received multiple international recognitions for our educational excellence: Exito Business Award, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Calidad Latino
Iberoamericano Award, in Rio de Jaeiro, Brasil, Sapientiae Award to the Educational Excellence, in Lima, Perú, and for the Second consecutive year, the Exito Business Award. Ms. Cestero, on her part, has received an Honoris Causa Doctorate in the Educational Category, in Lima, Perú, in 2008, and the Top Management Award in the Educational Category in 2008, among others. We continue to be the only Culinary Arts and Hospitality Services institution in Puerto Rico with three accreditations, which guarantee quality administrative and teaching processes.
That makes us the best alternative for the XXI century!
Sylvia B. Cestero de Seymour
